Overview

Fletch had Prioritizer, Forecaster, and Ask Fletch, but no clear front door. This work shipped the first homepage and clearer feeds, then Ask Fletch as a conversational way into the same threat graph.

Product
Homepage, clearer feeds, and threaded Ask with boards, citations, and a visible thought process.
Team
Solo designer with one PM and three engineers.
Role
Lead product design across discovery, IA, the Ask surface, and the ship.

Problem

People did not get Fletch without a human tour. The product had grown past a single-page app, but the entry point had not. Even with feeds and boards, there was still no way to ask a real question and get an answer grounded in their estate.

Gap 1

No product without a tour

Users could not tell what Fletch did, or how Prioritizer differed from Forecaster, without someone walking them through it.

Gap 2

Feeds feel overwhelming

Too many modules in the first fold buried the main content. It was unclear where to start.

Gap 3

No question-shaped entry

Feeds surface threats, but they are not built for open questions like “are we exposed to SafePay?”

Design

Final surfaces for home, the feeds, and Ask Fletch.

Home

Home: Ask up top, Daily Advisor in the middle, feeds as macro cards.

Prioritizer and Forecaster

Prioritizer: ingested alerts filtered down to the few that matter.
Forecaster: upcoming threats beside the tags that drive them.

Ask Fletch

Empty Ask: prompt, starters, and a place to begin from language.
A live ask: thought process, streaming answer, boards and sources on the side.

Outcome

The homepage gave Fletch a front door. Ask Fletch added a question-shaped path into the same threat graph. Activation and account creation both moved after launch.

  • 50%Higher activation
  • 20%More accounts created
  • 1Cohesive homepage
Learnable
People could tell Prioritizer from Forecaster without a product tour.
Grounded
Ask answers run through their profile and estate before they claim relevance.
Actionable
Feeds and Threat Boards point at work, not a wall of modules or chat text.
